Blood Sandstone Swirls Haunt White Pocket Bristlecone Pine

Blood Sandstone Swirls Haunt White Pocket Bristlecone Pine… Located near Page Arizona, sited just outside the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the Paria Plateau, this image was shot handheld using an iPhone 6 Plus on a recent MAD Photo Safari.

There are few, if any, similar natural sandstone formations that rival the uniqueness of the White Pocket desert landscape. Not even the Wave, though more sought out and known, compares to the diversity of imagery this location offers. Truly a landscape photographer’s paradise; an unequaled, surreal landscape I will visit again and again in the hopes of creating some truly original imagery.
