Juvenile Bear Foraging for Veggie Lunch
Radium, Colorado. This little bear couldn’t get enough into its tummy fast enough, moving from tree to tree without pause. Though brown in appearance, Colorado’s bears are Black Bears. The bright midday direct light made shooting this rambunctious create a real challenge. Compounding this problem was the bear’s almost entirely blonde mane as if a brunette had just visited a saloon and gotten highlights. Capturing wildlife in the great outdoors and not at a zoo, game ranch or reserve takes both luck and skill. Here at MADOGRAPHY, we conduct our wildlife workshops with the same degree of preparation as professional guides do for their trophy hunts. The difference being, of course, our wildlife subjects go on to enjoy another day after our shoot, and our clientele still take home a trophy 24″x36″ lifelike print to hang on their wall!
….. if you look closely enough, by the way, you’ll see the day’s blue ski in this beauty’s eye- truly awesome stuff.
